Dr Ashok obtained his MBBS and MS Degree from Banaras Hindu University and subsequently did his specialization (MCh) in the field of Surgical Gastroenterology from Sanjay Gandhi Post Graduate Institute of Medical Sciences in 1995.
So far he has supervised 5 PhD students, served as Co-supervisor to 4 PhD and several MD students and Post Doc Fellows and he continues to work further research in addition to patient’s care and teaching to GI surgery postgraduates.
